During your time in the College of Business at JMU, you take a 12-credit class where you work in teams to create a business plan. At the end of the a full year, five business plans are selected to compete in the Rainey-Shepard-Kushel Business Plan Competition. In the spring of 2024, my team had the opportunity to present our product, Bidet Buddy LLC, where we secured second place. This experience included delivering a formal presentation in front of a panel of business professionals, giving us valuable real-world experience in pitching and defending our business idea.

Study Abroad

Greece and Turkey

I completed a three-week study abroad program focused on Consumer Behavior and Services Marketing, earning hands-on credit through immersive experiences in Greece and Turkey. We explored industries like hospitality, shipyards, and more, gaining insight into how culture shapes consumer behavior and marketing strategies. This experience deepened my understanding of global marketing and strengthened my readiness for a career in marketing.
