PORTFOLIO
Here are some recent projects to showcase my marketing abilities

COB 300 is one of the toughest but most rewarding classes in the business program. It’s a 12-credit-hour course that combines finance, management, marketing, and operations into one intense semester. Working in teams, we tackle real business challenges and create a fully developed business plan from scratch. Specifically in this plan, I had the privilege of working on the marketing section alongside a teammate, where we developed the market segmentation, quantified the market, conducted positioning and competitive analysis, and created the marketing mix.

In Marketing 410, a social media marketing course, we worked with a real business to develop a social media marketing plan. As part of a team, I contributed to a social media audit, SWOT analysis, campaign creation, content calendars, and content development for our client. This hands-on experience taught us how to collaborate with real clients and apply our knowledge in real-world marketing strategies.

Deliverables For Class

During my senior year of college, I had the opportunity to work closely with the cheer communications assistant and coach. I helped with communication between them, contributed content ideas, and supported a positive, professional image for our team on social media. While I didn’t manage the platforms directly, I helped brainstorm posts, source photos and videos, and bring ideas to life. It was a great way to apply what I’d learned in class to a real-world setting.
At JMU, I took a course in Internet Marketing Communications where we partnered with a real client, the Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. Although our deliverables were conceptual and not real, the project gave me hands-on experience working with a client to develop strategies for increasing brand awareness. It was a great opportunity to apply classroom concepts to real-world scenarios and strengthen my understanding of client collaboration and strategic planning.
